BEHIND THE SCENE - LEWIE & CLARK - RALLY

Having a dog hold something is another dynamic that really helps to tell a story - like this image with the iconic checkered flag. This image had a lot of moving parts.

The biggest challenge was to capture each dog waving the flag while looking natural. Getting the labs to “hold" the flag was the easy part. They were actually just holding sticks - the waving flags were shot separately.

The dogs were shot in a parking lot, so I created the back wall, lights and finish line in post-production to bring the racetrack to life for a winning image.
