3 Fun Things to Do Inside With Your Dog

Looking for fun things to do inside with your dog this winter? Here are 3 fun activities to try!

#1 Bark at Your Dog Challenge

What happens when you bark at your dog? Are they surprised? Shocked? Do they bark back? It's a fun experiment to try and even more fun to record it so you can replay the results.  Here was our challenge with our yellow lab, Lewie. Clearly, Amy and I were "saying" completely different things!

#2: Easy to Make Peanut Mutter Dog Cookies

Bake treats for your pup with these easy to make cookies made from simple ingredients you probably have in your pantry.

INGREDIENTS:
▢ 2 1/2 cups flour (see notes below)
▢ 1 teaspoon baking powder
▢ 1 cup natural peanut butter (IMPORTANT - READ note below)
▢ 1 cup water
▢ 2 tablespoons honey
▢ 1 egg

DIRECTIONS:

- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a large bowl combine flour, egg, and baking powder. Add peanut butter, water, honey and stir until dough is combined.
- Remove from bowl and knead (or use a mixer with paddle) until dough is all one uniform color.
-On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a small glass to cut into round cookies or use a cookie cutter to make fun shapes.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until golden, and let cool before serving.
- Store in an airtight container or give as gifts to other furry friends.

NOTES:

**Flour: If your pup has a wheat allergy, use rice flour or coconut flour as a replacement but note that it might change the consistency a bit.

**Peanut Butter: CHECK THE LABEL! Some peanut butter brands contain Xylitol which is toxic to dogs. Use Organic, All Natural Peanut Butter if possible.
Happy barking...we mean baking!!
