3 Ingredient Healthy Frozen Homemade Treats for Dogs

We came up with the recipe because our dogs, Mo and Lewie, LOVE ice cream! Knowing that ice cream is not the most nutritous treat for dogs, we created this really easy frozen treat with Greek yogurt (which our dogs love) as the base with the hope that they’ll think they are eating ice cream! These treats include:

🍶 YOGURT provides probiotics for a healthy gut. Probiotics are bacteria that aid in maintaining a healthy gut and digestion and can help improve your dog's immune system and overall well-being.

🫐 BLUEBERRIES are an excellent source of antioxidants, which can help protect your dog's cells from damage caused by free radicals and support a healthy immune system. They are also rich in fiber, which can aid in digestion.

🍯 HONEY offers natural sweetness that can be a healthy addition to a dog's diet in moderation. It contains antioxidants and nutrients like vitamins and minerals that can support overall health. Honey also has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, which can help soothe a dog's sore throat or digestive issues.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt.
• 1/2 cup fresh or defrosted frozen blueberries.
• 2 tablespoons organic honey

Instructions:

• Mash the blueberries in a bowl using a fork or a potato masher. You can leave some blueberries whole for added texture.
• Mix the mashed blueberries with the Greek yogurt and honey until well combined.
• Scoop the mixture into lined cupcake tins, filling about 1/3 of the way.
• Freeze for at least 2 hours.
• Remove from the freezer. If using cupcake tin, you need to let them sit for about 5 minutes before pulling them out of the tin, otherswise the liner will tear.
• ENJOY and let the tail wagging begin! These treats are people friendly – so you can have one too!
• Store: Store treats in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
